Fifth Circuit clears way for release of Louisiana prisoner after his parole was rescinded
Samuel Galbraith sued the parole board, saying the rescission violated his due process rights
The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit cleared the way on Monday for the release of Samuel Galbraith. Mr. Galbraith, who was serving a 71-year sentence for manslaughter and aggravated attempted rape, had his parole rescinded by the Louisiana Parole Board in a controversial decision days before he was set to be released.
